Everyone reacts differently to medications, so there's no way to know what side effects you will experience until you take it. I didn't experience any, personally, and it's working really well for my bipolar in conjunction with Lamictal and Wellbutrin.
Abilify can be used to control the manic period in bipolarity. Important side effects would be uncontrollable or abnormal movements, increase in blood sugar, drop in blood pressure, elevated body temperature and constipation. This med may also affect the user's consciouness. And a rare but severe condition called neurolyptic malignant syndrome.
