Making your self puke?

iam sike of being over weight i have always been fat whats the side effect of makeinf your self sick i need help fast a dance is in 5 monthes iam welcome to some one helping me out with iming echother or e-mail ing anything to help me

First, I am so sorry that you are in so much pain that you would consider doing this. I hope that you might consider seeing someone for support.

With regard to damage caused by purging (i.e. making yourself "puke"), YES, you are damaging your body. Purging can cause the following damage:

*Cardiovascular problems: Electrolyte abnormalities can lead to heart muscle disorders and irregular heart rhythms. These can be life-threatening. Fainting and low blood pressure also are problems.
*Tooth and gum problems: Stomach acid can wash over teeth and gums during vomiting. Repeated vomiting can cause a significant and permanent loss of dental enamel. Teeth may become ragged and chipped, and dental cavities may increase.
*Throat and mouth problems: Frequent or regular vomiting can cause sores in your mouth or throat. You may notice bleeding due to esophogeal tears.
*Low potassium levels: The purging process tends to dehydrate your body and lower the level of potassium in your blood. This can cause weakness and irregular heart rhythms.
*Digestive problems: Purging may irritate the walls of your esophagus. In severe cases, your esophagus can rupture, leading to life-threatening bleeding. Repeated purging may also cause constipation. Gastrointestinal bleeding also may occur.

It's also important to note that purging doesn't necessarily cause weight loss. Even if you purge, you are retaining a certain percentage of the calories you've ingested. If you truly are overweight and are having body image problems, the best bet would be to talk with a supportive therapist who knows eating problems, and work to modify diet and exercize.

The side effects of making yourself puke is that you start to destroy your throat and then your teeth and even your finger with the acid that you bring up. You get into a bad and addictive habit that can also harm you heart and other internal organs.

Also, you will have a big belly because you will always take in some of the calories that you have consumed.

The best way to change you body size that will last is exercise, a combination of aerobic(like walking) and weight training at least 4 days a week. It is working for me, and I am obese. I have lost 35 pounds this semester and feel 10 times more energetic and healthier. The only diet change I have made is to cut back on portions a bit and leave out things like fries or hash browns at MacDonald's. I will just get the sandwich with a drink. I drink lots more water too.
