Looking for therapist to treat OCPD in Connecticut.any ideas?

I have tried lots of treatments for OCD contamination issues, but it was recently suggested that ocPd might be part of the problem, which was why the cognitive behavioral therapy wasn't working. So now looking for a therapist who specializes in that condition (classified as a "personality disorder") in either the greater Hartford CT area or northeast quarter of Connecticut.
I spent time on the internet doing research yesterday, and kept getting derailed either into general discussions/descriptions of OCPD or resources for OCD.even though I changed my google search from OCPD to "Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder". It kept bringing up things that are all too familiar to me, like the OCD Foundation. Any suggestions for finding specifically a therapist in my area that is ocPd not OCD oriented? There must be a list somewhere!
I wonder if there is an OCPD foundation like there is the OCD foundation. Thanks for any help.

Hi there,

You can do a search on psychologytoday and look for therapists that specialize in both OCD/anxiety and personality disorders. Here's a therapist in Hartford who works with both:

You want to look for someone who understands both OCD and personality disorders. You also might consider consulting with someone who does EMDR. EMDR has been shown to help resolve phobias and might be helpful for you. To find an EMDR therapist, click here:

Hope this helps, and good luck!
